2. Don't build camps in mud rock flow prone areas. Many stones have traces of being wrapped by soil, which is the main sign of debris flow. The camp should not be too close to the debris flow channel.

3. Don't camp on the top of the mountain or open ground in thunderstorm days to avoid lightning.

4. In thunderstorm days, do not set up camps on beaches, river beds, streams and valleys to prevent being washed away by sudden floods. Many times, the camp will choose to be on the ridge or on both sides of the river to enjoy the scenery. The ideal camping place is no more than the terrace on the river bank or the wide river bank. The sandy land is flat and dry, and there are clear water and driftwood that can be used as fuelwood beside the valley. When the climate is good, it is a good camping place. However, if it rains cats and dogs, the water in the valley is likely to suddenly surge, submerge the river bank into the water, wash away mountaineering shoes, food, etc., and even people are washed away by the current.

5. Before camping in the field in the rainy season, we must pay attention to the climate and hydrological conditions of the local area and the upstream area of the river. During camping, we should pay attention to setting up tents on the high ground several meters above the water surface. We should not choose rainwater channels, but choose places with good drainage and escape routes in case of danger. When everything is settled, you should always pay attention to the water volume, turbidity and sound of water. Once you feel abnormal, run away. Late at night or tired are the main causes of disasters. Don't be careless or observe carelessly.

1. Tents should be set up on hard and flat ground as far as possible, and do not camp on the river bank and dry riverbed.

2. The entrance of the tent shall be leeward, and the tent shall be far away from the hillside with rolling stones.

3. In order to prevent the tent from being flooded when it rains, a drainage ditch should be dug directly below the side line of the canopy.

4. The four corners of the tent shall be pressed with large stones.

5. Ventilation shall be maintained in the tent, and cooking in the tent shall prevent fire.

6. Before going to bed at night, check whether all the flames have been extinguished and whether the tent is fixed and firm.

7. To prevent insects from entering, sprinkle a circle of kerosene around the tent.

8. The tent should face south or southeast to see the early morning sunshine. The camp should not be on the ridge or the top of the mountain as far as possible.

9. It's not too cold by the stream at night, at least not too cold.

10. The camp shall be selected in a well drained camp such as sandy land, grassland or rock debris land.

 

The camp should be close to the water source, which can not only ensure the water for cooking and drinking, but also provide washing water. If it is far away from the water source, it will bring a lot of inconvenience and even danger to the camp. However, in the deep mountains and dense forests, close to the water source, you will encounter wild animals, so you should be extra careful.

 

The wind will quickly take away the heat of the human body, create cold and even cause diseases. At the same time, the strong wind will sweep away the tent, at least make the personnel unable to rest. It is more difficult to light a campfire, and it is difficult to ensure cooking and heating, so the camp must take shelter from the wind. It is best to be in the leeward of small hills, forest or forest side open space, caves, sides of ridges and under rocks, etc.

 

When building the camp, carefully observe whether there are animal footprints, feces and nests around the camp. Do not build it in the area with many snakes and rats, so as to prevent hurting people or damaging equipment and facilities. There should be anti mosquito, insect and scorpion drugs and protective measures. Spreading some plant ash around the camp will effectively prevent the invasion of snakes, scorpions and poisonous insects.

The ground of the camp shall be flat, without tree roots, grass roots, sharp stone debris, concave convex or slope, which will damage equipment or stab personnel, and also affect the rest quality of personnel.
